The Kirkwood Urban Forest is in the middle of Kirkwood, just off of Hosea L. Williams Dr. It was a dump site for the city up until a few years ago. The grounds have been rehabilitated, and some of the discarded items such as tires have been used in the urban forest to build some of the trails. the Urban forest has walking trails that wind underneath the tree canopy, and there is also a community garden where residents of the Kirkwood area can get together to grow food and learn about agriculture.
